I smile at her, and she smiles back. It's easier these days. Have I made progress?

Maybe she'll finally relent, and allow me to love her openly. That is all I want in this lifetime. I have loved her for so long that I can remember nothing, and no one, else. She is all that matters.

Kathryn. Look at me again. Let me see the gleam in your eye and hear the lilt in your voice. Those old parameters are moving away from us now, almost a memory. Some victories take longer to win, but are the sweeter for it.
